Neera Kapoor, OD, MS currently holds the rank of Clinical Associate Professor of Rehabilitation Medicine at NYU-School of Medicine and provides clinical care as a neuro-optometrist at NYU-Langone Health's RUSK Institute of Rehabilitation Medicine.
Dr. Kapoor graduated in the mid-1990s with a Masters of Vision Sciences, Doctor of Optometry, and Residency in Vision Therapy and Rehabilitation, all from SUNY-College of Optometry. She remained on faculty at SUNY-College of Optometry and served as its Chief of Vision Rehabilitation Services from June 2010 through July 2015. In early 2016, she transitioned from SUNY-College of Optometry to NYU-School of Medicine.
Dr. Kapoor has co-authored over 30 peer-reviewed articles, 10 textbook chapters, and 25 poster presentations. She has guest-edited three peer-reviewed journal issues on neuro-optometry and presented 120 lectures regionally, nationally, and internationally, regarding vision deficits related to underlying neurological conditions.
