Danielle Porter is a Neurologic Music Therapist with a Master’s Degree in Music Therapy and a Certificate in Gerontology from Florida State University. Danielle created and implemented the first music therapy program at Brooks Rehabilitation in Jacksonville, FL in 2015. Currently, she provides services at the inpatient hospital and for multiple community programs throughout the Brooks system of care. Her interests lie in the area of Stroke, Aphasia, Brain Injury, and Parkinson’s Disease. Danielle has been invited to speak at numerous venues including: The American Congress of Rehabilitative Medicine Conference, Mayo Clinic of Jacksonville, local universities in north Florida, health expos and symposiums. She recently received grant funding from Blue Cross Blue Shield and the Brooks Rehabilitation research department.
