Dr. Adina Maeir is an occupational therapist and an Associate Professor and School Chair at the School of Occupational Therapy, The Hebrew University, Jerusalem. Her research has focused on understanding the implications of neurogenic health conditions. Specifically, understanding the interactions of bio-psycho-social factors that explain occupational performance and participation in life roles. Adina is interested in applying the international Classification of Functioning disability and health (ICF) to better understand the functional implications of "mild" cognitive deficits, such as found in people ADHD or older adults with subjective memory problems.She has developed several assessments and occupational therapy intervention protocols that were based on a bio-psycho-social approach to promote participation in everyday life activities.
