Colleen Engler began her career in the Health Care Industry at Memorial Hospital's Acute Care and Skilled Nursing Unit in Towanda, PA. She holds a license in Nursing Home Administration and a Master’s Degree in Health Care Administration from Kings College/Wilkes-Barre, PA.
-Colleen joined Guardian Eldercare in 2000 as a Nursing Home Adminstrator. Colleen has served in roles with Guardian as the Director of Business Growth and Development, Director of Recruitment and Professional Development, Senior Vice President of Human Resources, Chief People and Culture, and Regional Operations support for the organizations portfolio of 59 Skilled Nursing Centers, 9 Personal Care Centers and Ancillary Division of Healthcare Businesses. Colleen is active in multiple community and service based organization in Northeastern PA including; Pennsylvania Northern Tier Workforce Investment Board, (Including state level ad-hoc committee for Workforce Development), current professional development activities with students at Penn State Main Campus, Board Member of Penn State BOV, Northeast Health Care Industry Partnership, Troy Rotary, board member of the PA Training fund and board member of HCAPS, President of the Sullivan County Chamber , member ACHA Workforce Committee and ACHCA PA Chapter president. Colleen is passionate about identifying strengths in her colleagues and subordinates while positively impacting them to grow as professionals.
-Colleen’s passion is to be in service to those in need of “healthcare support and services”. Establishing and maintaining professional relationships that advocate for those in need of healthcare, rehabilitative services and extended stay residences and exposing the future generation to the opportunities Long Term Care/Post-Acute Care.
