Nursing Home Consultant
Mr. John Sheridan, MHSA, was President and a founder of eHealth Data Solutions now part of The ABILITY Network Division of Inovalon. John retired from Ability Network and now acts as consultant to the long-term care professions with a blend of management, planning and leadership experience. John helps the profession to visualize and use data and information as evidence supporting strategic vision and direction in payment, quality and operations. His experience includes consulting and operations positions with a mix of health industry organizations including: consulting, medical practices, acute care and long term care companies, Ross Division of Abbott Laboratories and Indemnity and Managed Health Insurance Plans.
Mr. Sheridan’s experience in the health care industry uniquely qualifies his abilities as a strategist, advisor, consultant, and entrepreneur serving the long-term and post-acute spectrum of providers including nursing homes, CCRCs, acute care hospitals, physicians and supporting healthcare organizations like pharmacy services across the US as well as internationally in Norway, Canada and elsewhere. He and a great clinical and information sciences team built products, CareWatch, RiskWatch and UBWatch and CareWatch PBJ and Infection Watch. In 2019, John began and is continuing to serve as an Administrator in Training to advance his knowledge and to earn the Ohio LNHA.
Mr. Sheridan holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Saint John Fisher College in Rochester, NY and a Masters in Health Services Administration, Graduate School of Government and Business, from The George Washington University in Washington, D.C. He earned the Barton Certificate in Risk Management from the American Hospital Association. He is a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives and member of the American College of Healthcare Administrators.
