Dr. Wehry is a geriatric psychiatrist with over 30 years of experience and a passionate advocate for older people. During her multifaceted career as a clinician, educator, policy maker and advisor, she has worked with legislators, executives, administrators, clinicians, older adults and family carepartners. Dr. Wehry currently serves as a medical advisor for Sunrise Senior Living. In 2009, Susan authored Oasis 2.0, an interdisciplinary person-centered model of care. It has helped nursing homes throughout the United States transform dementia care, support mental health recovery and reduce inappropriate antipsychotic use. As the current Chief of Geriatrics at the University of New England College of Osteopathic Medicine she is thrilled to be guiding the next generation of health professionals. She was pleased to present "MInd the Brain" at the 2018 AHCA/NCAL Convention.
