Anne Marie Frey has been a vascular access nurse, specializing in neonatal and pediatric vascular access for 42 years and is currently a Clinical Expert on the Vascular Access Team at The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia where she and the team insert and troubleshoot peripheral IVs and PICCs, write evidenced based policies and procedures, present education programs, and serve on committees. The active career in vascular access has lead to a 33-year side career as a Legal Nurse Consultant and Expert Witness, having reviewed more than 50 cases. She has published multiple articles and textbook chapters on topics related to vascular access. She lectures frequently at local, regional, and national conferences on topics related to neonatal and pediatric vascular access. Anne Marie is on the journal review boards for JVAD and JIN and was voted INS member of the year in 2008.
