CVAD occlusions can negatively impact patient outcomes and experience, as well as hospital performance. Cathflo Activase (alteplase) is the standard of care for treating thrombotically occluded catheters. Knowledge and understanding of current evidence-based and maintenance practices may optimize outcomes and minimize complications.
