This presentation's aim is to help the clinician interested in developing or expanding their current vascular access program to include arterial line insertion. We will share our vascular access team's journey on launching a successful program with details on policies, procedures, training, and hospital council approvals. At completion of this program you will have the steps necessary and the confidence to launch your program.

• Identify the steps needed to initiate a successful arterial line insertion program
• Development of policies and procedures to support arterial line insertion by vascular access specialist
• Identify a plan of action to present to necessary hospital councils for approval to launch arterial line program
