Are you an educator? Or Is part of your role to set up education for your staff or facility? Let's discuss some of the lessons learned from more than 10 years of in-service education experience. We will discuss the different types of in-service education models, what works and what does work. We will also discuss the importance of customizing the education provided not only to your audience but also to the product or process you are trying to teach. We will share principles of adult learning and how using those principles can improve your in-service education. One size/type does not fit all, and we will leave you with some ideas and suggestions to take back to your facility (or suggest to your customers) to provide successful in-service education.
