The results of a research investigation will be presented defining hemodilution, blood flow, medication concentration and impact of VADs in veins. The discoveries made applying the science of fluid dynamics during this investigation shed light on device and medication selection for treatment delivery. Catheter size, length, and position all play a part in venous response to treatment. During this presentation, the science and evidence of flow, flushing and VAD type will answer many questions regarding the safe administration of intravenous medications.
