The goal of this presentation is to explore innovation in health care, specifically vascular access. This exploration will include a review of the past, present and expectations for the future in innovation. This review will include science, research and development, and commercialization of products and process that have and will impact how we deliver care. We will explore the steps of innovation from clinical need to market ready product. This exploration will be done through case studies, interviews, and reviews of regulations and standards of practice. We will explore how start-ups and big industry innovate. The ULTIMATE goal will be to educate and inspire the AVA membership to have a spirit of innovation to drive the future of vascular access!
