This session will discuss the importance of doing research on peripheral IV's and how to go about doing the research. We will discuss how PIV's relate to central line associated blood stream infections and why it is important to educate and train on the care and maintenance of PIV's. We will then review different ways to look at research and how that can apply to daily practice within the hospital and within a vascular access team.
