Are you comfortable and competent in the use of Intraosseous Access Devices? The purpose of this session is to increase clinician confidence. We will discuss the why, when, and how is the IO in the best interest of our patients when prompt peripheral access is not obtainable. Common barriers and objections will be discussed as well as a deeper dive into what the evidence says.

Learning Objectives:

• Identify patients and situations where the intraosseous route should be used to provide vital access
• Demonstrate two of the most common sites for intraosseous insertion.
• Discuss current evidence for best practice with intraosseous use.
• Choose intraosseous when time is short and access is vital.
