The vascular access procedure lab is a mixed simulation and cadaveric hands on learning opportunity. This high quality pre-conference offering allows attendees to review, insert and discuss invasive procedures on cadaveric specimens, while sharpening their assessment and insertion skills. Each attendee will rotate through a set of dynamic stations, developed to increase procedural confidence and awareness across a number of vascular devices. NEW for this year is … Mid-thigh femoral PICC insertion, ensuring that practical education is supporting your advancing practice. Also included will be RaCeVA and RaPeVA ultrasound assessment processes, insertion of acute and long term central venous catheters, ultrasound-guided needling techniques (for both peripheral and acute catheters), insertion and management of intraosseous access, followed by an anatomic cadaveric review of central and peripheral vascular pathways.
