Do you have a vascular access idea that you want to publish but don’t know how to get the writing process off the ground? Or, do you have a paper that is nearly complete but remain unsure about how to put on the finishing touches? Join us for a pre-meeting workshop on writing for publication!
In this workshop, participants will receive individual attention from a panel of experts, prepared to answer any questions and give advice on the writing and publication process. Our goal is to work with unpublished but potential authors who have great ideas but don’t know how to track down the data needed to publish, where to start, how to write an abstract or how to put together a manuscript. We also welcome authors who may have an outline or first draft of their manuscript but need advice on how to put together the final pieces before submitting it for review and consideration for publication in the Journal of the Association for Vascular Access (JAVA).
Do you have an idea? Do you have data? Are you not sure of your idea, but know you want to publish? Then this workshop is for you!
NOTE: Our goal is for every attendee of this workshop to receive personal attention. As a result, AVA may not be able to accept every applicant. After signing up, AVA will contact you via email by the end of May and provide a link to a brief survey to gather information on where you stand in the publication process. Following a review of those surveys, AVA will select attendees for this workshop. If you are NOT selected to attend, AVA will refund your workshop registration fee in FULL.
Attendees of this workshop ARE REQUIRED to bring a laptop or other personal computing device (iPad, tablet, etc.) with them. Please do not only bring a cell phone to this workshop.
