This lunch and learn session will provide a light-hearted overview of the themes of Vessel Health and Preservation. Each of the key areas of Assessment/Selection, Insertion, Management and Evaluation will include a twist of fun and presenter with video and music to add to the learning and enjoyment. Understanding the key components of the VHP pathway and how evidence, guidelines and recommendations integrate into the whole will allow attendees to fully grasp the value of each of step in the pathway process. The program features specialists and experts from infection prevention, pediatrics, emergency department, home health and education to create a truly insightful educational opportunity. Learning Objectives:

• • Within the treasure hunt discuss the pathway model of VHP Rights and importance of vein preservation by performing the right actions, how it applies to patient wellness, and the four quadrants of the VHP model: Selection, Insertion, Management and Evaluation as the treasure chest of best practices
• • Outline the key components of the treasure contained in quadrant 1 for Patient Assessment and Vein Selection
• • Describe the Gems of how a proficient inserter with the right insertion approach contributes to VHP
• • List the steps on the treasure map necessary for VAD comprehensive assessment as a part of care and maintenance
