Education Librarian, Head of Teaching & Information Services
Weber State University
I am currently a Professor and Head of Teaching & Information Services at the Stewart Library at Weber State University (WSU). I have teaching in the university setting for over 20 years, and began my career in the field of librarianship as a student worker in the University of South Florida Health Sciences Library in the 1990s. While I did not end up working in medical libraries, I have continued working in related disciplines, such as athletic training, nutrition, and exercise and sports science, all of which are housed in my liaison area in the College of Education. My research interests focus on information literacy instruction, particularly in an online environment, and how to best provide a f2f experience to online students. More recently, I have been working with several colleagues in partnership with WSU’s Disability Services office and WSUOnline to improve accessibility in online course environments.
