Lisa Price, MSLIS, currently serves as Public Services/Research Support Librarian at what is now Rowan University School of Osteopathic Medicine (RowanSOM) Health Sciences Library, where she has worked since April 2001. She earned her Master's Degree in Library and Information Science from Drexel University in 1991. Prior to coming to RowanSOM, she worked as a reference librarian at a public library for more than eight years and has a strong commitment to customer service.
Lisa's professional interests include computer literacy, information literacy, bioinformatics and copyright/open access issues. She has served on a variety of committees at the New Jersey Library Association (NJLA), Rowan University Libraries and the former South Jersey Regional Library Cooperative (SJRLC). Currently, she is Board Member-at-Large for the Health Sciences Library Association of New Jersey (HSLANJ).
Prior to graduate school, Lisa received a dual-major BA in Spanish/English (Communications) from Lebanon Valley College and spent several years working for a small advertising agency in Doylestown, PA. She lives in Runnemede, NJ with her husband of over 30 years and their family. Lisa’s personal interests include history, open hearth cooking, reading and travel.
