Lilian Takahashi Hoffecker is a research librarian at the University of Colorado Health Sciences Library, a position she has held since 2003. She is a literature searcher who helps researchers find studies for systematic reviews and meta-analyses in many specialities including public health, medicine, physical therapy, and nursing. She has a research interest in the role of language in scholarly communication and other issues related to open science, and has published articles on these topics. Lilian has a Master of Library Science from Emporia State University, a Master of Science in physical anthropology from the University of Oregon, and a PhD in the same field from the University of Chicago. She was born in Yokohama, Japan and has lived in Berkeley, Eugene and Chicago, before moving to Centennial, Colorado.
