Gail Kouame, MLIS, is the Chair of Research & Education Services at the Robert B. Greenblatt, M.D. Library at Augusta University in Augusta, GA. In that capacity, Ms. Kouame provides leadership for the embedded librarians serviing the Medical College of Georgia, the Dental College of Georgia, the College of Nursing, and the College of Allied Health Sciences. She also participates in research activities and is currently engaged in a project providing health information to incarcerated persons via secured tablet computers. Ms. Kouame has also been active in local, regional, and national professional associations, including the Medical Library Association (MLA). She recently served as the inaugural Chair of the Leadership Curriculum Committee for MLA. She is currently a fellow in the NLM/AAHSL Leadership Fellows Program.
