Karen Stanley Grigg is the Health Sciences Librarian at University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and the liaison to the Gillings School of Global Public Health and the Radiology Department. After receiving her MSLS degree from UNC-Chapel Hill in 1998, she served as the Life Sciences Librarian and Engineering and Textile Services Librarian at North Carolina State University Libraries, then as the Collection Development Librarian at Duke Medical Library, and was the Science Liaison Librarian at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Her research interests include the information needs of transfer and bridge program students, social equity in the Health Sciences and the librarian's role, effective liaison engagement, and information literacy. Her hobbies include backpacking, foraging, and ruran and urban exploration.
