Dana Wilkosz, MPH, is the Health Literacy Educator for the New Orleans Public Library where she develops and coordinates programs covering a wide-range of topics, including nutrition, teen sexual health, and preventing and managing chronic disease. Before landing in New Orleans to pursue her graduate degree, she spent a year living in France teaching English and several years in New York City as a health and nutrition writer for parenting magazines. She has also worked on health programs in southern Africa, where she was able to further develop her knack for communication, interaction, and education across cultures.
