Simbonis Fellow in Bioinformatics
Yale University, Cushing/Whitney Medical Library
New Haven, Connecticut
I am part of the Bioinformatics Support Group at the Yale Cushing/Whitney Medical Library, as their Simbonis Bioinformatics Fellow. I have more than 10 years of experience as a biomedical researcher, and while working on my PhD, I developed a passion for Bioinformatics analysis. Even though my training was purely in the biological sciences, I taught myself coding and scripting to analyze large, Next Generation Sequencing datasets to advance my research. Due to my unique "damp lab" experience (expertise in both bench-side techniques and in-silico data analyses) I have a holistic approach towards data analysis. I love providing the clinical and research community with Bioinformatics analysis support, helping them to make sense of their data within the framework of their biological question, so that they can take their research stories one step closer to publication.
