Dr. Isabelle Herter-Aeberli has studied Food Science and Nutrition at ETH Zurich, Switzerland, graduating in 2003. Between 2004 and 2008 she completed her PhD at the Human Nutrition Laboratory at ETH Zurich in the field of childhodd obesity. This was followed by a first post doctoral fellowship at the University Hospital Zurich, Switzerland (2008-2011) and a second one at St. John's Research Institute in Bangalore, India (2011-2012). Since her return to the Human Nutrition Laboratory at ETH Zurich she has been working as a senior scientist and lecturer. Her main fields of research are the double burden of obesity and iron deficiency as well as iodine status and its influencing factors.
