Dr. Gabriela Cormick is a Nutritionist and Health Researcher. She holds a PhD in Human Nutrition in the Faculty of Health Sciences at the University of Cape Town, South Africa and two MSc -in Public Health Nutrition and in Information Technology- from the University of Glasgow. She was trained in Evidence Based Health Care Research at the School of Public Health and Tropical Medicine at Tulane.
She is currently a Heath Researcher at the National Research and Technical Council working at the Institute for Clinical Effectiveness and Health Policy, in Argentina. She is an Associate Professor in Food and Nutrition Policy at the National University of La Matanza in Argentina. She conducts clinical and epidemiological research mainly in maternal and child health, including randomized controlled trials and systematic reviews. She supervises students within the Tulane-Xavier Minority Health International Research Training program at the Tulane School of Public Health, USA.
She has previously worked as research assistant for the NHS in Scotland and in humanitarian aid a in Asia, Africa and Latin America. She has experience in technical cooperation with activities related to micronutrient deficiency, dietary assessment and food security.
