Dr. Sara Wuehler works to improve nutrition programs through collection and interpretation of quality assured data for evidence-based contextually relevant interventions. Sara seeks to build capacity among collaborators to conceptualize and implement feasible surveillance of nutrition programs, use data to implement appropriate changes, and ensure the effectiveness of nutrition programs. Sara developed her expertise as a food scientist, dietitian and nutritionist while working on nutrition programs and research in Africa, Latin America and Asia. She completed a PhD in nutrition with emphasis on international nutrition, MSc in Food Science and Nutrition, and is a Registered Dietitian.

Dr. Manoj Kumar Raut

Manoj Kumar Raut is a trained demographer and researcher with more than two decades of relevant experience of working at state, national and regional levels in program management, monitoring, research and evaluation. At NI, he provides technical oversight research and evaluation studies in the five countries of the Asia region. He specializes in research, large scale survey data analysis, methods of population projections, demographic techniques and estimation of denominators for computation of various indicators. Prior to joining Nutrition International, he worked with UNFPA and a state Government in India, contributing towards strengthening civil registration system, vital statistics and medical certification of cause of deaths. To improve the state’s statistical system, he also drafted its state strategic statistical plan, following a process of multi-departmental coordination under the World Bank assisted India Statistical Strengthening Project (ISSP) to strengthen the State Statistical Systems. He has a doctorate in Population Studies and Masters in Population Studies from the International Institute for Population Sciences, Mumbai, India with specialization in Biostatistics and an MPhil and a Masters in Psychology.
