Ibrahim Parvanta, MS, Senior Expert, Food Fortification Advisory Services (2FAS) is a public health nutrition professional with 39 years of technical and leadership/management experience at the state and national health agency levels in the United States, and advisory/consulting roles in more than 35 countries. His areas of expertise and experience include: development of policies and strategies related to the prevention and control of vitamin/mineral deficiencies; engaging public-private-civic sector partnerships in support of effective food fortification programs; advising on the design and implementation of feasible and on-going food fortification program monitoring and surveillance systems, and; strengthening maternal and child nutrition programs through evidence-based interventions and technical and programmatic capacity development.
