Senior Technical Specialist
Christina Nyhus Dhillon is an international public health nutritionist and researcher. She has provided technical oversight, management and research for a range of nutrition programs including large scale food fortification, vitamin A supplementation, workplace nutrition and agriculture-nutrition programs in various countries in Africa and Asia, with the most extensive experience in Tanzania, India and Peru. She has conducted field-based research on various nutrition topics including the effects of multiple micronutrient supplements on pregnancy outcomes, infant and young children marketing practices, and the implications of national agricultural policies on human nutrition. As part of GAIN’s Knowledge Leadership unit, she is the Program lead for Workplace Nutrition and support monitoring of the SUN Business Network. Prior to joining GAIN Geneva, Christina has worked for Helen Keller International, Harvard School of Public Health, and as an independent consultant. Dr. Nyhus Dhillon has a Master’s in Public Health from Emory University (2001) and a PhD from Cornell University’s Division of Nutritional Sciences (2009).
