Regional Nutrition Specialist

Jessica Blankenship is a nutrition specialist working for UNICEF’s East Asia Pacific Regional Office with a focus on Infant and Young Child Feeding, Maternal Nutrition and the use of nutrition data to inform programmatic decision-making. She is currently based in Bangkok where she leads technical support for the multi-region Regional Initiatives for Sustained Improvements in Nutrition and Growth (RISING) programme funded through the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation. In addition, she provides technical support for large-scale survey design, data analysis and interpretation and country-level application of existing programmatic and survey data to inform programmatic modification. Jessica holds a PhD in International Food Policy from Tufts University Friedman School and an MSc degree in Nutrition Science from Columbia University’s Institute of Human Nutrition.
