Dr. Danie Shajie is a Technical Specialist- Rice fortification program in the MNCHN division at PATH. He is handling rice fortification operations in India and Myanmar. He has done his Doctoral degree from Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur. He has eight years of rich experience in research as well as in industry in multidisciplinary fields like functional foods, antimicrobials, grain processing, extrusion, food safety, stem cells research, new product development, drug designing & simulation. He has published his research work in peered reviewed international journals and written two book chapters. He is also the recipient of the prestigious Gandhian Young Technological Innovation (GYTI) Awards under socially relevant innovation at the Festival of Innovation and Entrepreneurship at President’s House, New Delhi.
