Jody Harris is an applied researcher with a particular interest in the politics and ethics of food systems, and in policy and social interventions for healthy diets and nutrition. She conducts mixed-methods research into power in societies, including work on equity and marginalization; power in politics, including political science work on policy processes; and power in food systems, including the roles of different system actors. She also leads research to understand food systems and their drivers in context, and methodological work on progressing approaches and methods in these areas. Jody is currently a senior researcher at the World Vegetable Center (Thailand), bringing a food systems and policy research focus to work on vegetables in food systems for healthy diets. She is also a Research Fellow at the Institute of Development Studies (UK), where she has furthered conceptual thinking on power, equity and ethics in nutrition.
