Andrew Thompson, MSPH, is a Technical Advisor, Program Strategy & Advanced Analytics at Nutrition International (NI) based in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. Under the supervision of Vice President Global Technical Services and Chief Technical Officer, Andrew leads key cross-functional technical teams and initiatives at NI which contribute strategic research, the development of decision-making tools, and insightful guidance that advances NI’s global technical agenda. He has over a decade of international experience working in the field of nutrition with particular focus on data, analytics, program assessment, and translating evidence into impact. Before joining NI in 2015, Andrew worked for UNICEF based in New York where he led the UNICEF-WHO-World Bank Joint Child Malnutrition Estimates and other important data-driven nutrition publications. Andrew holds a Master of Science in Public Health degree (MSPH) in Human Nutrition from the Department of International Health at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health and a Bachelor of Science degree (BSc) in Nutritional Sciences from Lyman Briggs College at Michigan State University.
