Track: Sponsored Sessions
This symposium will introduce the MINIMOD tool and MINIMOD-SD (secondary data) tool, review the data and other requirements for their use, and demonstrate the usefulness of these tools in framing and informing policy discussions around micronutrient deficiencies and programs developed to address them. Special attention will be paid to ongoing uses of the tools in Cameroon and Ethiopia to help address current micronutrient policy issues, and the collaborative policy engagement processes that the MINIMOD team has developed to facilitate the use of the scientific evidence they generate in policy discussions. The symposium will also highlight the use of the MINIMOD tools in the context of the development of a multi-fortified bouillon cube for West Africa.
