Often we tend to mix up the terms and focuses when planning for Purchase and Production. But when you get clearer about the expected outcome of Long-term planning, Master planning and Detailed planning, it is much easier to split up and thereby optimize each of the tasks, by focusing on the different task’s characteristics and best practice actions. The ERP system is often helping this by being a good calculator. The real trick is how you organize processes, actions, rules and responsibilities among the planners. Therefore, this session will not focus on Business Central, but more on decisions and work processes. The idea of the session is to provide an overview of the complexity of Supply Chain Planning, to provide ideas on where to focus and start.
