Sari Khaleel, MD MSc. PGY4 Urology Resident at the University of Minnesota Urology Department; Current applicant for fellowship in urologic oncology. I was born in Baghdad, Iraq. I came to the US in 2007 and finished a dual degree in Biology and Computer Science at Georgetown University (Go Hoyas!). I then pursued an MSc degree in Bionformatics and Computational Biology at the University of Delaware, focusing on analysis of next-generation sequencing data before going to Dartmouth College for my MD degree. At Dartmouth, I continued to work on genomics research in bladder and breast cancer before was introduced to urology and worked with my mentor, Dr. Vernon Pais. At the University of Minnesota, my research focus has been oncology as well as endourology with Drs. Badrinath Konety and Michael Borofsky, as well as analysis of systematic review quality analysis with Dr. Philip Dahm. In my free time, I enjoy listening to podcasts, running, and spending time with my family.
